The Ifor Williams trailer company, UK, has taken inspiration from the automotive industry to design aerodynamic curves and a sculpted “floating roof” that amalgamates to form stunning lines for the HBX range. With a definitive blueprint containing a broad front window framework, the HBX trailer is suitable for extended transport and has a highly lightweight aluminium body.
The use of aluminium has made the trailer extremely travel-friendly and would have an extensive user life. Ifor Williams’ flagship parabolic leaf spring suspension makes it extremely easy to tow along with providing a stable and secure ride. The surrounding of the trailer has been anodised to give it a soft and classy look which then again is easy to clean.
The trailer has an incredible feature as the rear door can open both as a ramp or a side-hinged door, and among other intelligent characteristics, it allows a user to open the front windows totally or partially.
Prior to the launch, the HBX was subjected to a rigid testing routine that included speed examinations at the Warwickshire test track generally used by all the prime automotive organisations.
They have also gone through extreme weather conditions in a climate chamber where the prototypes were put under a freezing arctic or a moderately hot simulation.
The Head of Sales at Ifor Williams Trailers, Rob Small, explained: “Our trailers are already known for cutting edge design, robust durability, and engineering excellence. In short, they are built to last.”
“With the HBX, we wanted to go for a sleek, aerodynamic style, and we have incorporated the concept of the floating roof with glazing and black aluminium and tinted glass panels all the way around. In the front, we’ve lowered the roof to get that aerodynamic effect.
“Whether you’re parked up or on the move, the large front panel – complete with a steel grill for security and safety – increases natural light, keeping the interior light and bright.”
“The front top opening doors provide extra ventilation when the trailer is parked as well as easy access for checking your horses.”
“Outside, it has an awning rail fitted for awnings that can be put up in in a few minutes, so it can also be a home from home when you’re attending events,” he completed his speech.
Ifor Williams’ HBX range showcases three primary model choices; the first is suitable for single horse transportation, while the other two are valiantly shaped double horseboxes.
