Insolation Energy (INA Solar), an Indian solar energy provider and manufacturer, announced the establishment of a 3 GW photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing facility in the Jaipur district of Rajasthan. The company specialises in developing, engineering, and deploying solar PV modules and aims to install a 12,000 metric tonne per annum (mtpa) aluminium frame plant in the region.
{alcircleadd}With an investment of INR 400 crore, the groundbreaking ceremony for this state-of-the-art facility was recently held. INA Solar currently has a PV module manufacturing capacity of 1 GW. With the addition of the new facility, its total capacity will rise to 4 GW annually.
“A tech tie-up is already been in place with a vendor for 1.4 GW of cell manufacturing capacity to be commissioned in 2025-26 and this will help in fulfilling the current robust demand as well as showcasing of latest adopted and established technology,” said Insolation Energy.
The new plant, covering 109,000 square meters, will have an annual production capacity of 3 GW of n-type TOPCon solar panels and 12,000 metric tonnes of aluminium frames. Production is anticipated to commence within the current fiscal year.
