India aluminium scrap prices edge higher in tandem with MCX aluminium
Major aluminium scrap commodity prices in India edged higher on Wednesday as spot market witnessed a sudden uptick in demand. The prices of aluminium wire scrap rose from INR 147 per kg to INR 150 per kg, and that of aluminium utensils scrap from INR 122-126 per kg to INR 148 per kg on December 27.

Except aluminium wire scrap and aluminium utensils scrap, all other aluminium scrap commodities are putting up a fairly flat performance on ScrapRegister due to tepid demand.
On the other side, aluminium contract at Multi Commodity Exchange is currently (December 28, 12:34 PM) trading at INR 144.40 per kg (up 1.29 per cent from the previous day price). The average aluminium price is INR 143.67 per kg.
MCX aluminium opened at INR 142.80 per kg today, down from yesterday’s closing at INR 143.55 per kg. The current Lot Size is shown as 5 and Volume as 3196 kg. The spot aluminium is being traded at INR 140.10 per kg.
