The Indian Railways are planning to run the Vande Bharat Express Train with lightweight aluminium carriages. This high-tech train's speed will be increased with the inclusion of these unique carriages. The production of these lightweight coaches is underway.
{alcircleadd}According to sources, the Centre will announce the inclusion of these special carriages to the Vande Bharat Train in Parliament's forthcoming Budget session.
According to railway sources, the request to add these coaches to the Vande Bharat Express Trains has already been forwarded to the train ministry's top authorities. After receiving the green light, the operation of high-speed mail-express trains in the country will be officially announced.
Because the coaches are lightweight, the train will burn less fuel, resulting in lower operating costs for semi-high speed trains.
For a long time, the railroads have planned to enhance the average train speed. With the installation of these carriages, the Vande Bharat train would be able to travel at a speed of 160 km/h.
Trains with this technology, according to the railroads, do not need to slow down on a curving line. The train leans inwards automatically, balancing the force applied from the outside while maintaining the centrifugal force.
Railways are currently focusing heavily on the use of LHB coaches, which have a life expectancy of roughly 35 years. LHB coaches are deemed safer in the event of an accident, and railways are replacing outdated ICF coaches with LHB coaches regularly.
Previously, the railroads had intended to run Train-20, a new train with lightweight coaches that would be operated using sleeping coaches instead of a chair car. However, the railways have recently chosen to just include these carriages in the current Train 18 Vande Bharat Express Train.
According to insiders, the railways are also preparing to deploy a new train that will use Hyperloop technology and will operate entirely on vacuum, allowing the waggon to go at great speeds.
