Innoval Technology to offer training course on aluminium automotive sheet

Innoval Technology has announced another training course about the application of aluminium automotive sheet after one successful course last year.  The Aluminium Automotive Sheet training course offered by Innoval Technology will be 2.5 days long and will include a visit to Jaguar Land Rover’s manufacturing facility in Solihull.

Since the use of aluminium is comparatively new to many automotive companies which have been working with steel so far, such courses are helpful in making them aware of the benefits and use of the light metal technology in automotive.

The course is specifically designed for companies that are using aluminium automotive sheet for the first time in their manufacturing process. The course will help participants to understand the automotive sheet from a materials point of view.  After undergoing the course they would be able to use the knowledge in solving a problem from the root and improve the processes to develop better product.

The course is designed and delivered by material and technical specialists with expertise in aluminium automotive sheet. The course will cover the following modules:

• Background to the use of aluminium in automotive applications
• Equipment needs and supply chain considerations
• Metallurgy basics and 5000-series alloys property control
• Surface control and lubrication
• Vehicle manufacture
• 6000-series alloys property control
• Surfaces and corrosion
• Testing requirements and OEM qualification

The Aluminium Automotive Sheet training course is aimed at Senior Managers and Technical Specialists and will take place on 9-11th April 2019 at Innoval’s offices in Banbury.
