Introducing Temperzone’s Clever MT Series with marine-grade aluminium for its inner and outer panels

Temperzone has introduced the Clever MT series, a line of all-aluminium air handling units (AHUs) designed for lightweight durability and exceptional corrosion resistance. Engineered for unmatched performance and excellence, these air handling units are lightweight, highly corrosion-resistant, and meticulously designed to deliver outstanding performance.

Inclusion of aluminium

The Clever MT is engineered with a robust all-aluminium construction featuring anodised aluminium profiles and base channels. The units are built with double-skinned inner and outer panels made from marine-grade 5005 aluminium, coated with protective paint and filled with high-density polyurethane foam insulation for superior thermal efficiency.

The T2/TB2 panels, with a 65mm tropical profile and 50mm thermal break, deliver outstanding thermal performance, preventing condensation in high-humidity environments or during very low supply air temperatures.

For streamlined control, the EC Plug fans are connected to an electrical interface cabinet equipped with an external isolator and a potentiometer for fan speed adjustment. The cabinet supports the Modbus serial communication protocol, consolidates all internal control terminations, and accommodates multiple controller modules for managing pressure, airflow volume, and temperature.

Features of the air handlers

The series includes eight EC Plug fan units, offering maximum nominal airflow capacities ranging from 750 L/s to 15,000 L/s, with a minimum external static pressure of 400 Pa. The units feature epoxy-coated cooling and heating coils for enhanced climate control in eleven combinations — with 1 or 2-row heating coils and 4, 6, or 8-row chilled water coils.

The MT series offers flexible configuration options, available in right-hand or left-hand orientations, to align water and electrical connections, drainage, gauges, and service access doors. Users can choose horizontal or vertical air discharge, with options for horizontal and/or vertical return air plenums or return air/outside air mixing dampers, featuring EL100 opposed blade dampers with motorised or manual actuators.

A range of standardised accessories is also available, including a Magnahelic gauge, internal LED lighting, inspection windows, and optional filters — G4 panel filters, F7 bag filters, and F9 filter cartridges. MT air handling units are exceptionally lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and designed with high-performance thermal barrier properties for optimal efficiency.
 

Designed for a hassle-free experience

The MT series is thoughtfully designed for easy access and hassle-free installation, delivering a seamless service experience. The units feature outward-opening doors with indoor and outdoor nylon handles, ensuring an airtight seal. The fan access door includes a mesh guard and lockable mechanism for added safety.

Each unit has a moulded, UV-resistant, anti-fungal ABS drain tray, carefully sloped towards the drain connection to prevent water pooling and enable efficient condensate removal. With its versatile design, the MT series allows customers to specify, install, maintain, and operate the units with ease — saving time and effort throughout the entire product lifecycle.
