Through a Reddit post, it came to our attention that a fanboy has uploaded pictures of a direct replica of Tony Stark's armour shown in Robert Downey Jr.'s second solo movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This Iron Man 2 cosplay looks exactly out of the movie set and has been designed with aluminium.
{alcircleadd}Cosplay is a pretty serious affair worldwide, particularly for comic book enthusiasts, gamers and ‘nerds’. Though Iron Man 2 is considered to be the worst depiction in the otherwise blockbuster franchise, it was the first time when Tony Stark formally upgraded the flight suit to resemble its present glory.
Ironcostumes shared on Reddit the pictures of this innovative creation and it has sparked a lot of vigour in the Marvel Fandom. The costume is completely hand-made and the aluminium parts have been screwed together to bring perfection to the life-size design.
The Iron Man Mark V armour cosplay from MCU’s Iron Man 2 is by far the most accurate depiction of the real suit shown in the movie. The untamed use of aluminium has definitely made the iron suit lighter than usual. Moreover, aluminium is cheaper than any other malleable metal that can be forged into any desired shape. Aluminium’s 100% recyclability also makes it a circular economy-inducing material.
Iron Man’s Mark V armour can be considered the predecessor of the nanotechnology suits that Robert Downey Jr. wears for his last two appearances in MCU’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
