Jindal Aluminium Limited (JAL), the leading manufacturer of aluminium extruded profiles in Bangalore, India, has a new exec at the top. Pragun Khaitan has been appointed as the Managing Director of the company, said a company release.
SR Jindal will continue as Chairman and will play a key role in devising strategies for the Group. Jindal Aluminium’s first factory in the country was established by SR Jindal in 1968.
The noted aluminium extruded profile manufacturer recently established an aluminium rolling division and is currently among the largest aluminium extruders with about 30 per cent market share. Over the years, JAL has made significant investments in alternative and renewable energy. It set up the first wind power plant in Karnataka way back in 1968.

JAL boasts a considerable land bank. It has drawn up plans to develop a part of it for further monetization.
However, JAL’s main forte remains aluminium, rather aluminium extrusion. The company is constantly expanding its product portfolio and adding value to the same to cater to its clientle that is spread globally.
