On the previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,536.5 per tonne, hit a high of US$2,551 per tonne and a low of US$2,478 per tonne, and closed at US$2,486 per tonne, down US$53.5 per tonne, a decrease of 2.11 per cent.
{alcircleadd}As per the LME price graph, on Friday, September 20, both cash bid price and official settlement price had declined by US$47 per tonne or 1.86 per cent and US$46 per tonne or 1.82 per cent to settle at US$2,475 per tonne and US$2,477 per tonne.
On the same day, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also contracted by US$32 per tonne or 1.26 per cent and US$34 per tonne or 1.31 per cent to peg at US$2,504 per tonne and US$2,504.50 per tonne.
December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price slumped by US$25 per tonne to halt at US$2,605 per tonne and US$2,610 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 809025 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 349750 tonnes and 459275 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price lost US$9.87 per tonne or 0.38 per cent to reside at US$2,547.61 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Monday, September 23, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price dipped by US$37 per tonne or 1.30 per cent to reach US$2,807 per tonne. Last Friday night, the most-traded SHFE aluminium 2411 contract opened at RMB 19,980 per tonne, reaching a high of RMB 20,000 per tonne and a low of RMB 19,805 per tonne, and closed at RMB 19,845 per tonne, down RMB 225 per tonne, a decrease of 1.12 per cent.
