LME aluminium opened at US$2,185 per tonne yesterday, with its high and low at US$2,186.5 per tonne and US$2,150.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,165.5 per tonne, down US$34.5 per tonne or 1.57 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Tuesday, December 5, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$27 per tonne to halt at US$2,121 per tonne and US$2,121.50 per tonne.
As per the London Metal Exchange (LME) data, both the 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price also slipped by US$25.5 per tonne or 1.16 per cent and US$26 per tonne or 1.18 per cent to settle at US$2,162 per tonne and US$2,162.50 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price dipped by US$23 per tonne or 0.99 per cent to clock at US$2,282 per tonne and US$2,287 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 446150 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants clocked at 200050 tonnes and 246100 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price fell by US$21.94 per tonne or 0.99 per cent to peg at US$2,175.79 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on December 6, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium price decreased by US$3 per tonne or 0.11 per cent to US$2,599 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2401 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,390 per tonne, with its high and low at RMB 18,470 per tonne and RMB 18,370 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,405 per tonne, down RMB 60 per tonne or 0.32 per cent.
