The previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,509 per tonne, reached a high of US$2,542 per tonne, a low of US$2,485 per tonne, and closed at US$2,522 per tonne, up US$15.5 per tonne, an increase of 0.62 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Wednesday, September 18, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price gained US$14.5 per tonne or 0.57 per cent to clock at US$2,519.50 per tonne and US$2,520 per tonne.
As per the LME graph, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price added US$8.5 per tonne or 0.33 per cent and US$7 per tonne or 0.27 per cent to settle at US$2,527.50 per tonne and US$2,528 per tonne.
December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price moved up by US$2 per tonne or 0.07 per cent to settle at US$2,620 per tonne and US$2,625 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 813500 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at US$349975 tonnes and 463525 tonnes.
On the same day, LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price remained the same at US$2,495.90 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, September 19, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price (AL2410) has hiked by US$21 per tonne or 0.75 per cent to settle at US$2,815 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE aluminium 2410 contract opened at RMB 19,960 per tonne, reached a high of RMB 19,975 per tonne, a low of RMB 19,855 per tonne, and closed at RMB 19,930 per tonne, up RMB 40 per tonne, an increase of 0.2 per cent.
