LME aluminium opened at US$2121 per tonne yesterday, with its high and low at US$2143 per tonne and US$2116 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2124 per tonne, flat from the previous trading day.
On Tuesday, December 12, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price grew by US$8 per tonne or 0.38 per cent to settle at US$2,090 per tonne and US$2,090.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price grew by US$9.5 per tonne or 0.44 per cent to clock at US$2,136 per tonne and US$2,136.50 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price also increased by US$8 per tonne or 0.35 per cent to peg at US$2,255 per tonne and US$2,260 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 450225 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 208725 tonnes and 241500 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian price inched up by US$0.37 per tonne or 0.01 per cent to peg at US$2,134.50 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On December 13, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium added US$12 per tonne to reach US$2,589 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2401 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18435 per tonne, with high and low at RMB 18485 per tonne and RMB 18375 per tonne before closing at RMB 18405 per tonne, down RMB 25 per tonne or 0.14 per cent.
