LME aluminium opened at US$2,243 per tonne on Monday, with its low and high at US$2,221.5 per tonne and US$2,280 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,269 per tonne, an increase of US$26 per tonne or 1.16 per cent.
On Monday, May 15, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$30 per tonne or 1.34 per cent to stand at US$2,260 per tonne and US$2,260.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price expanded by US$29.5 per tonne or 1.31 per cent and US$30.5 per tonne or 1.36 per cent to halt at US$2,266 per tonne and US$2,268 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price grew by US$20 per tonne or 0.82 per cent to score at US$2,435 per tonne and US$2,440 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 568200 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 373025 tonnes and 195175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price ascended by US$34.28 per tonne or 1.55 per cent to stand at US$2,240.14 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On May 16, the SHFE aluminium price has increased by US$19 per tonne or 0.73 per cent to reside at US$2,612 per tonne.
SHFE 2306 aluminium rose RMB 225 per tonne or 1.26 per cent to RMB 18,115 per tonne. The open interest dipped 8,427 lots to 192,539 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2306 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,185 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 18,100 per tonne and RMB 18,245 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,155 per tonne, up RMB 40 per tonne or 0.22 per cent.
