LME aluminium opened at US$2,234 per tonne on Thursday, with high and low at US$2,252 per tonne and US$2,229.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,235 per tonne, unchanged from the previous trading day.
On Thursday, January 11, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price inched down by US$0.5 per tonne or 0.02 per cent and US$1 per tonne or 0.04 per cent to settle at US$2,202.50 per tonne and US$2,203 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price reflected no change and settled at US$2,244 per tonne and US$2,245 per tonne. December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price dropped by US$5 per tonne or 0.19 per cent to clock at US$2,500 per tonne and US$2,505 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 560575 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants halted at 354575 tonnes and 206000 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price, on the other hand, moved up by US$5.15 per tonne or 0.23 per cent to reach US$2,248.25 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on January 12, the SHFE aluminium price has inched up by US$1 per tonne to stand at US$2,669 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2403 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,080 per tonne, with high and low at RMB 19,085 per tonne and RMB 18,935 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,970 per tonne, down RMB 85 per tonne or 0.45 per cent.
