LME aluminium opened at US$2,139 per tonne on Thursday, with its low and high at US$2,127 per tonne and US$2,153 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,130 per tonne, a drop of US$7 per tonne or 0.33 per cent.
On Thursday, July 6, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price went up by US$10.5 per tonne or 0.50 per cent to settle at US$2,103 per tonne and US$2,103.50 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price climbed up by US$3.5 per tonne or 0.16 per cent and US$3 per tonne or 0.13 per cent to settle at US$2,149.50 per tonne and US$2,150 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price moved up by US$3 per tonne or 0.13 per cent and US$3 per tonne or 0.12 per cent to halt at US$2,308 per tonne and US$2,313 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock settled at 537875 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants were halted at 272250 tonnes and 265625 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price dipped by US$5.42 per tonne or 0.25 per cent to reside at US$2,142.20 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On July 7, the SHFE aluminium spot price dropped by US$4 per tonne or 0.15 per cent, stopping at US$2,511 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2308 aluminium contract opened at RMB 17,865 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 17,805 per tonne and RMB 17,920 per tonne before closing at RMB 17,830 per tonne. It fell by RMB 25 per tonne or 0.14 per cent.
