LME aluminium opened at US$2,396 per tonne on Thursday, with its high and low at US$2,411 per tonne and US$2,380 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,392 per tonne, down US$3.5 per tonne or 0.15 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Thursday, December 22, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price went up by US$6 per tonne or 0.25 per cent and US$5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent to halt at US$2,361 per tonne and US$2,362 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price closed at US$2,395 per tonne and US$2,397 per tonne after recording a growth of US$5 per tonne or 0.20 per cent.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price climbed up by US$5 per tonne or 0.20 per cent to stand at US$2,480 per tonne and US$2,485 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 473000 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants clocked at 233300 tonnes and 239700 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price also went up by US$4.36 per tonne or 0.18 per cent, stopping at US$2,394 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on December 23, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has slipped by US$19 per tonne or 0.70 per cent to clock at US$2,664 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2301 aluminium closed up 0.03 per cent or RMB 5 per tonne at RMB 18,635 per tonne, with open interest down 13,568 lots to 106,180 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2301 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,660 per tonne overnight, with its high and low at RMB 18,675 per tonne and RMB 18,570 per tonne before closing down RMB 20 per tonne or 0.11 per cent.
