Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,436 per tonne on Wednesday and closed at US$2,450 per tonne, up US$10.5 per tonne or 0.43 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Wednesday, April 19, the LME aluminium cash bid price decreased by US$18.50 per tonne to stand at US$2,381.50 per tonne, while the LME aluminium official settlement price shrank by US$19 per tonne to amount to US$2,382 per tonne.
The 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price edged US$21 per tonne lower on the same day at US$2,401 per tonne and US$2,402 per tonne, respectively, following four consecutive hikes. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price plummeted by US$20 per tonne to settle at US$2,575 per tonne and US$2,580 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock slipped 500 tonnes to stand at 573,575 tonnes. Live Warrants and Cancelled Warrants totalled 503325 tonnes and 70250 tonnes.
However, LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price continued to grow by US$9.29 per tonne to peg at US$2,412.20 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, April 20, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price extended growth by US$5 per tonne from US$2,764 per tonne on April 19 to US$2,769 per tonne on April 20.
SHFE 2306 aluminium gained RMB 160 per tonne or 0.85 per cent to RMB 19,030 per tonne. The open interest added 45,862 lots to 242,124 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2305 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,025 per tonne, with its high at RMB 19,115 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,085 per tonne, up RMB 85 per tonne or 0.45 per cent.
