LME aluminium opened at US$3,250 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at $3,274 per tonne, an increase of $22.5 per tonne or 0.69 percent.
On Tuesday, April 12, LME aluminium cash bid price closed at US$3,214 per tonne and LME aluminium official settlement price halted at US$3,214.50 per tonne. The former witnessed a slump of US$19.5 per tonne or 0.60 percent and the latter dropped by US$20 per tonne or 0.61 percent.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also slipped by 0.15 percent or US$5 per tonne and 0.18 percent or US$6 per tonne to record at US$3,244 per tonne and US$3,245 per tonne.
On the other, December 23 bid price hiked by US$15 per tonne or 0.48 percent to score at US$3,125 per tonne. For the same day, December 23 offer price also surged by US$15 per tonne or 0.16 percent to settle at US$3,130 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock was recorded at 610775 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants totalled at 400450 tonnes and 210325 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price also declined by US$9.72 per tonne or 0.29 percent to stop at US$3,283.62 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today on Wednesday, April 13, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE has gone up by US$26 per tonne or 0.79 percent to halt at US$3,302 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2205 aluminium closed down 1.22 percent or RMB 260 per tonne to RMB 21,070 per tonne, with open interest down 5,320 lots to 184,396 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2205 aluminium contract opened at RMB 20,860 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 21,145 per tonne before closing at RMB 21,090 per tonne, up RMB 220 per tonne or 1.05 percent.
