LME aluminium closed at US$2,228 per tonne, a drop of US$7.5 per tonne or 0.67 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On May 30, Tuesday, the LME aluminium cash bid price and the LME aluminium official settlement price halted at US$2,229.50 per tonne and US$2,230 per tonne, diving US$11.50 per tonne or 0.51 per cent and US$12 per tonne or 0.53 per cent, respectively. Since LME was closed on Monday due to Spring Bank Holiday, the comparison has been made with Friday, May 26, last week.
The LME aluminium price on April 28 was US$2,342 per tonne, which fell 4.78 per cent or US$112 per tonne month-on-month to US$2,230 per tonne on Tuesday, May 30.
The 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price both dropped US$13 per tonne or 0.58 per cent, officially settling at US$2,224 per tonne and US$2,225 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price both have shed by US$10 per tonne or 0.41 per cent to stop at US$2,390 per tonne and US$2,395 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock witnessed an addition of 1.16 per cent or 6,750 tonnes, officially closing at 586,525 tonnes on May 30.
Live warrants read 401,975 tonnes, with a spike of 5,800 tonnes or 1.46 per cent. Cancelled warrants halted at 184,550 tonnes after being boosted by 950 tonnes or 0.52 per cent.
The 3-month Asian Reference Price arrived at US$2,219.73 per tonne, with a plunge of US$39.97 per tonne or 1.77 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
On May 31, today, SHFE aluminium price has decreased by US$10 per tonne or 0.39 per cent, officially closing at US$2,565 per tonne.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2307 aluminium contract closed at RMB 17,940 per tonne, down RMB 5 per tonne or 0.03 per cent.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
