LME aluminium opened at US$2,256 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,255 per tonne, up US$6 per tonne or 0.27 per cent.
LME aluminium cash bid price has risen by US$14 per tonne or 0.63 per cent to settle at US$2,245 per tonne and LME aluminium official settlement price gains US$13.50 per tonne or 0.60 per cent to rest at US$2,245.50 per tonne on Tuesday, September 20.
3-month bid price has ascended by 0.84 per cent or US$19 per tonne to stand at US$2,265 per tonne, while the 3-month offer price has witnessed a similar hike in percentage, closing at US$2,266 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price both earns 0.85 per cent or US$20 per tonne stopping at US$2,355 per tonne and US$2,360 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock continued to decrease by 0.09 per cent or 300 tonnes, from 346,325 tonnes to 346,025 tonnes as of September 20.
Live warrants totalled 278,600 tonnes, staying stoic with the previous day’s data.
Cancelled warrants read 67,425 tonnes, shedding 0.44 per cent or 300 tonnes from the day before.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price came in at US$2,254.08 per tonne, after 0.58 per cent or US$13.16 per tonne got deducted from it.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 21, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has de-escalated by US$47 per tonne or 1.75 per cent to arrive at US$2,630 per tonne, if compared with the data of yesterday.
The most-traded SHFE 2210 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,655 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 18,695 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,570 per tonne, down RMB 80 per tonne or 0.43 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2210 aluminium closed down 1.06 per cent or RMB 200 per tonne to RMB 18,650 per tonne, with open interest down 7,961 lots to 156,245 lots.
