Central to Longbow's innovation is its bespoke aluminium chassis, which provides exceptional stiffness while minimising weight. The Speedster weighs just 1,973 pounds and the Roadster comes in at 2,194 pounds, both significantly lighter than typical electric vehicles. This lightweight construction enhances agility and efficiency, offering a unique driving experience.
Performance-wise, the Speedster accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and offers a WLTP range of 275 miles. The Roadster achieves 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds with a range of 174 miles. These remarkable performances are driven by a single rear-wheel motor delivering an estimated 322 horsepower. However, the battery specifications are yet to be revealed, leaving room for curiosity among enthusiasts.
Longbow plans to produce only 150 units of each model, with the Speedster priced at approximately USD 92,600 and the Roadster at USD 70,850. This limited production run emphasises exclusivity and craftsmanship, appealing to enthusiasts seeking a distinctive electric sports car.
Longbow’s motto, ‘Celeritas Levitas’, meaning ‘the speed of lightness’, reflects its mission to redefine electric performance. This philosophy highlights the brand’s dedication to combining speed, efficiency and sustainability. The founders aspire to create more than just vehicles, they aim to design artistic masterpieces that evoke emotion and rekindle the joy of driving.
