Justin Mahy, one of the co-founders of KOPU Water Company, plans to organise a Lunch & Learn lecture on April 27 at the Key Biscayne Community Center Island Room, highlighting the importance of recycling aluminium and how it can drive towards a sustainable path.
KOPU, the American luxury sparkling water brand co-founded by Justin Mahy and Mindy Mahy, simultaneously ensures both style and sustainability. Packed in sleek, elegant, re-sealable aluminium bottles, the company is taking responsibility and working directly with partners to ensure that empty bottles are recycled, resulting in a zero-waste bottled water programme.
KOPU is investing in their conviction of harmonising the health of its consumers and the Earth by allocating resources to link clients with aluminium reprocessing partners. The fact that up to 75% of all aluminium ever created is still in use will be the focus of a Lunch & Learn presentation by Justin Mahy, co-founder of The KOPU Water Company, which has taken a leading position in assuring aluminium packaging recycling.
To achieve its zero-waste bottled water programme goal, KOPU is taking the initiative to ensure that all empty bottles are recycled via direct collaboration with its partners. The same vans that carry KOPU to participating eateries, hotels, and resorts also collect their used aluminium containers.
This aluminium waste is discarded at community recycling centres rather than being sent back empty. The aluminium from a KOPU bottle is recycled and reformed for various purposes within 60 days of being dropped off at a recycling station. These applications include electric vehicle chassis, aeroplane frames, beverage cans, and new KOPU bottles.
