The new line of aluminium truck wheels features the most in-demand sizes and is available in three premium finishes, delivering top-tier durability and visual appeal. Thanks to aluminium’s lightweight properties, the wheels also enhance fuel efficiency and increase payload capacity.
Mark Gerardts, Chief Executive Officer of Maxion Wheels, stated, “Our new forged aluminium wheels not only complete our market-leading truck wheel portfolio but also solidify our position as a strong and trusted partner for our commercial vehicle customers. With our profound expertise in wheel design, engineering and manufacturing, we are positioned well to deliver a comprehensive and innovative product range that meets our customers’ diverse needs for affordable wheel solutions to optimise their transportation solutions.”
As per the report, Maxion Wheels’ new, state-of-the-art, 24,500-square-metre plant in Manisa, Türkiye is nearing completion, with the installation of the manufacturing equipment progressing as planned. In 2022, Maxion Wheels had announced a USD 150 million extension of its global steel truck wheel portfolio to include forged aluminium through a joint venture with its longtime business partner in Türkiye, Inci Holding.
Mustafa Zaim, President of the Board of Maxion Inci and Maxion Jantas, added, “We are thrilled to see the culmination of our joint venture with Maxion Wheels come to life with the introduction of these forged aluminium wheels. The new plant is a testament to our shared vision and dedication to excellence, underscoring our commitment to delivering superior quality and performance to our customers. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Maxion Wheels to drive the future of the commercial vehicle industry.”
The plant will initially produce around 350,000 forged aluminium wheels per year, with capacity expected to double in the following years. Serial production is set to commence in the second half of 2025.
Forged aluminium wheels offer significant advantages for commercial vehicles, including reduced weight, enhanced fuel efficiency and improved load capacity, making them a valuable addition to modern transportation solutions.
