Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody has teamed up with luxury travel brand Monos to launch a striking all-aluminium luggage collection, blending durability with minimalist elegance. Released in March 2024 and available online, this collection showcases precision-crafted aluminium suitcases designed for both style and resilience. To mark the launch, Brody starred in Kismet, a cinematic short film that explores themes of fate and travel, reflecting the spirit of the collection. This collaboration not only highlights Brody’s artistic vision but also redefines premium aluminium luggage, offering a seamless fusion of storytelling and design.
The brand collaborated with Mexico City-based cinematic filmmaker and photographer Alexis Gomez to shoot a three-minute short film in Tangier, Morocco. Titled Kismet, the film takes a deep dive into solitude and connection, showing how the unknown unfolds when we let the journey take the wheel. Brody, in the short film, is seen daydreaming his way through a train ride before losing himself in the streets of Morocco. Soon, he’s wandering the vast landscapes, the brand’s Aluminum Collection by his side, his path unfolding like fate with a passport, unpredictable, inevitable and effortlessly stylish.
Adrien Brody says, "Growing up in New York — a city full of diversity and unexpected encounters — ignited a thirst for adventure." He further adds, “I often find myself on location in different places while working on films, which is exciting; I love to explore, to travel, to get lost and find my way. Travelling reminds me that borders are irrelevant, no matter how different cultures or people may seem, we’re all just people living our unique stories.”
The luxe brand's all-aluminium luggage collection is made for those who let fate map their adventures; and their first all-aluminium collection is built to last a lifetime, with every journey etched into its sleek, unbreakable frame.
The luggage is made up of electroplated and anodised aluminium with each piece designed to develop a patina over time. The design is finished with black quilted taffeta lining with removable interior bags, TSA-friendly latch locks, a soft-release side handle, 360-degree spinner wheels and a telescoping handle with four height settings.
The cherry on the cake? The aluminium suitcases also have two shoe bags and an anti-microbial laundry bag and are available in three major colours: Champagne Gold, Caviar Black and Aspen Silver.
Aluminium suitcases are apt for travel. Why? This material-made suitcases offer a superior strength-to-weight ratio, making them lightweight yet durable. They resist corrosion, endure extreme temperatures and provide excellent protection against impacts. Additionally, aluminium's recyclability makes these suitcases an eco-friendly choice. If compared, suitcases made of polycarbonate are lightweight and flexible but lack durability and with time, cracks and dents are common due to extreme pressure.
