Muda Architects, a design studio from China, has unveiled their museum layout showcasing the Chinese medical history to be built in Chengdu, designed to resemble the shape of the scared yin-yang symbol. This 13,000 sq. m. establishment near the Huitong Lake in Pengzhou would be known as the Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine. Its wonderful aluminium façade allocation forces well-distinguished architects into a tremor.
{alcircleadd}The museum's main entrance will welcome its guests from the west direction, where perforated aluminium panels will adorn the upper ceiling to protect the onlookers from heat and keep the ventilation of the building in perfect condition.
Many companies are incorporating aluminium in their construction to shift towards sustainability after the Paris Environment Agreement of 2016 for its recyclability and eco-friendly behaviour.
Muda Architects has intentionally selected a spherical land structure with water on one side so that half the construction has an umbrella-type cladding from the perforated aluminium panels. In contrast, the other half remains uncovered, reflecting the sky beautifully.
This entire creation revolves around the Taiji concept (a stream of thought in Taoism) or the yin-yang symbolism representing both good and bad, justifying the philosophical stigma behind the traditional Chinese medical practices.
The studio claimed: "Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine stresses the harmony and correspondence between humans and nature, believing humanity is a component of the entire nature which is constituted by yin and yang in dualism."
The further east side of the aluminium façade opens directly towards the lake, which is guarded by a transparent double-curved glass that allows the colours of nature to peep in.
Among the prime public areas, there is an auditorium, an entry hall, an exhibition zone, and a dining space on the ground floor. Commercial exhibitions and workshops can be organised on the first and second levels.
The underground parking will house the visitors' cars, while the Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine has a basement plaza designated to attract various customers.
Muda Architects saw its inception in 2015 and has contributed largely to the design-development of innovative and modern constructions. The Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine, the Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine, will be accessible 24 hours a day. Periodical Tianfu Museum of Chinese Medicine hubs will be put up along the corners of the museum to educate interested visitors.
The extraordinary project has been accomplished, and its building is scheduled to be ready for onlookers in 2023.
