National Aluminium Company (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, adds one more feather in its cap by undertaking a product diversification. It is reportedly producing a new product Strontium Modified Aluminium Billets CH-91 grade, which will particularly benefit the end-product manufacturer.
{alcircleadd}Nalco believes this upgrade aluminium billets will decrease energy consumption and improve the overall productivity and output of billets. With this product, the customers will even be able to attain better surface finish with increased metal recovery, according to the state-owned Navratna company.
Congratulating NALCO collective for introducing the new product, Dr. T.K Chand, CMD, NALCO, said, ‘’NALCO continues to focus its energies in diversification and increasing its product portfolio to develop new markets that have the potential to increase the Company’s profitability. The Smelter team at Angul has worked hard to introduce Strontium Modified Aluminium Billets.’’
The production of the new product takes place in the company’s smelter plant at Angul in Odisha. M/s Jindal Aluminium Ltd., Bangalore is the first company to have received the product on 8th of December, 2018.
