North London Waste Authority has recently announced the third annual iteration of the award-winning TV advertising campaign “Save Our Stuff,” aimed at getting millennials to recycle more. Created by advertising and content agency Therapy, this time the TVC is primarily focused on aluminium recycling in particular.
The ad itself, “Tin Man”, combines classic 1970s synth track ‘Popcorn’, a unique and entertaining bedroom dance performance and a truly ridiculous level of aluminium foil wastage.
The whole idea behind this campaign is to increase the awareness and interest in aluminium recycling amongst millennials across North London.
The videos will run on Sky TV, ensuring that it reaches out to every targeted consumer. The content will also be pushed out as online video pre-roll and via social media advertising to maximise exposure and sharing amongst young people in North London.
Besides, social media websites have also reported to support the campaign and provide more interesting content on recycling in the different boroughs.
Therapy’s previous “Save Our Stuff” TV ad campaign was a huge hit. More than a third of north Londoners surveyed spontaneously recalled having seen the advertisement, while more than 59 per cent of the viewers said that they would think more about recycling in the future.
