That makes the plant the second Novelis facility in China to receive Performance Standard certification and 19th globally.
Novelis rolling plant in Jiangsu produces premium and strong structural plate products for aerospace and commercial applications.
The independent, third-party audit of Novelis’ Zhenjiang plant was carried out by DNV Business Assurance Services UK Ltd.

Aluminium applications for the Aerospace sector must meet stringent operational performance requirements for strength, ductility, damage tolerance, and fatigue, among others. This ASI Performance Standard Certification demonstrates the company is also addressing the increasing global focus on the environmental, social and governance performance of aluminium production processes and operations.”
James Liu, Managing Director of Novelis China, commented: "We are delighted that Novelis’ Zhenjiang plant is now certified to meet ASI’s environmental, social and governance standards.
