The PYRAMIDS ALU project has signed an agreement for its first phase of construction, where premium aluminium frames and solar mounting systems will be produced. The signing ceremony occurred on October 8 between Walid Youssef, Managing Director of the Main Development Company (MDC), and Tarek Shehata, General Manager of PYRAMIDS ALU, in the presence of Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
{alcircleadd}The project will come up in three phases, with the first phase commissioning over a 5,000-square-metre factory in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, equipped with four Plug & Play units in the next two months.
The project aims to achieve a monthly production capacity of 1,750 tonnes, powered by two fully automated fabrication lines and one production line, with an investment of $1.8 million.
While presiding over the signing ceremony, Walid Gamal El-Din highlighted a wide range of investment opportunities across various industries within SCZone, including green fuel production, infrastructure development, and green bunkering services through the ports of Sokhna and East Port Said.
The PYRAMIDS ALU project is a joint venture between Egypt’s ALU AFRIC for aluminium industry and China’s ALU PRO. The project has decided to use domestic resources as raw materials in line with SCZone’s strategy to enhance local complementary industries supporting green fuel production and solar energy component development.
