The Chief Financial Officer of Raufoss Technology, Alfred Hager, notified: "Québec and Greater Montréal are home to key assets that have contributed to Raufoss Canada's success for over 20 years. As we've seen with other projects, notably in Norway and Germany, a skilled talent pool and access to a global economy are essential. These assets are present in Boisbriand, which has contributed to our sustained growth in Québec over the past two decades."
The cornerstone of this investment lies in the integration of a new machining and assembly cell featuring a dozen cutting-edge robots. This technological leap promises to streamline operations, enhancing precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process. By optimising existing manufacturing cells and embracing automation, Raufoss Canada aims to bolster its production capacity to cater to the next generation of electric vehicles.
Collaboration with Cégep Lionel-Groulx ascertains Raufoss Canada's dedication to nurturing talent that is aligned with the demands of automation. This symbiotic partnership not only fosters skill development but also reinforces the company's position as a leader in innovation. The creation of 35 new operator and electro-mechanic positions not only augments the workforce but also hails Raufoss Canada's commitment to fostering local talent.
