While in March 2021, the United States aluminium scrap imports from Mexico stood at 19,300 tonnes, indicating a month-on-month hike of 5,800 tonnes or 42.96%, found the US Geological Survey. In March, the United States imported 34,800 tonnes of aluminium scrap from Canada, which registered an increase of 18.77 per cent from 29,300 tonnes in February. In January, the US aluminium scrap imports from Canada stood at 34,200 tonnes.

Alutrade Ltd, the United Kingdom’s largest independent recycler of aluminium cans and extrusion, has appointed Paul Mason as Business Development Manager. Mr Mason, who has been working within the metals/recycling industry for more than 30 years, joined the position at Alutrade last month as a successor of Shaun Ford.
