Andrea Bishop, director of collections and engagement at the National Motor Museum, has expressed her gratitude with the following words, "We are particularly pleased to have had this donation of stunning artwork from Richard Neergaard. We are currently raising awareness, funds, and support for the restoration of the Sunbeam 1000hp, and we're delighted to have the iconic vehicle reflected in this medium."
The Motor Museum has had the campaign to restore the vehicle with the ambition of returning to Daytona Beach for the 100th anniversary of Sir Henry Segrave's 203.792 miles per hour World Land Speed record on 29 March 2027. 1,000hp Sunbeam was one of the first purpose-built Land Speed Record cars and the first to reach 200mph
Mr Neergaard has expressed on this note, "I'm extremely honoured to be able to help support the National Motor Museum in their tremendous work to keep motoring history alive for new generations and specifically to help in the Sunbeam's restoration.
