Reynaers Aluminium in Enniscorthy recently had its new multi-million euro renovation and extension officially opened by the Belgian ambassador to Ireland, Karen Van Vlierberge.
{alcircleadd}The new extension is comprised of 3,500sq metres of new and refurbished facilities that meet the highest standards in building regulations. Following strict production policies is beneficial for a company when it comes to the authenticity of its flagship products.
Reynaers is one of UK's most revered providers of aluminium solutions. Aluminium is 100% recyclable and can retain its original properties even after transformation. Thus Reynaers' doors and windows have an inseparable sustainability factor attached to them. Moreover, with this new renovation, the company aims to highlight its ESG agenda, as the modernisation of a facility might save it from generating periodical waste.
The event was attended by members of the Reynaers family and the CEO of Reynaers Group, Bert Geerinckx, as well as a large number of members from the commercial sector in Enniscorthy and County Wexford.
The plant underwent extensive renovations and upgrades, including upgrades to the production facility, extension of the warehouse, and renovation of the offices. The opening ceremony marked an important milestone in the history of a business that has been very successful.
Justifying the upgradation, officials from Reynaers claimed: "The refurbished offices are now a bright, modern open-plan environment with Reynaers' own industry-leading products showcased throughout the building."
"The production facility has been completely reorganised, new automated machinery installed, and facilities upgraded for all workers to enjoy," it was pointed out.
Reynaers Ireland MD, Pat Bevan, commemorating the event, quoted: "Reynaers has had a presence in Enniscorthy since the early 1980s, and this project is all about securing it into the future."
"Working with local architect Neville Conroy, we have preserved and enhanced the landmark stone building, a former Jameson distillery, and it now provides world-class facilities for our employees and partners," explained Mr Bevan.
"We are also well positioned to meet Reynaers Group's sustainability targets through initiatives such as sensor-operated LED lighting throughout the building and energy efficiency upgrades to our machinery," he concluded.
The inaugural programme was a merry moment for the company and the entire Reynaers community.
