As per the 2020 index of economic freedom, Romania is ranked 21st among 45 countries in the Europe region. Romania's economy to contract 3.8% in 2020 and return to 4.9% growth in 2021, as per Finance Ministry analysts. The National Prognosis Commission (CNP), an analyst unit within the finance ministry, said in a statement that Romania's gross domestic product (GDP) would total 1.058 trillion lei ($259 billion/219 billion euro) in 2020.
The South-eastern European nation’s aluminium scrap export during 2018-19 recorded at 49,082 tonnes and the revenue generated during the phase stood at $49.11 million. The export for 2020 has been expected to stay at 27,029 tonnes and earnings to remain at $21.28 million. However, when the export volume and earnings of 2020 get assorted with the existing two years, it signifies 76,111 tonnes and $70.39 million respectively.
Romania’s export of aluminium scrap in 2018 stood at 23,666 tonnes and earnings accounted towards it stands at $23.54 million, whereas in 2019, the aluminium scrap export manifests growth by 7.39%, as the export volume climbed to 25,416 tonnes and earnings also rose to $25.57 million.
The export for 2020 has also been marked with growth by 6.34%, as the export volume remains to go up at 27,029 tonnes, while earnings reflect drop and to stand at $21.28 million.
Romania’s major trading nations for exportation of aluminium scrap are Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Turkey, USA, etc.
