Romco Group Ltd (UK) has become a new Production and Transformation member of ASI, bringing the total number of ASI Members to 169.
Romco, started in 2015, is a metals recycling company that manufactures secondary materials, mainly aluminium, for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and trading partners globally.
{alcircleadd}The company operates from three continents, with five furnaces, across two production facilities, utilising block-chain technology throughout the value chain, trading recycled goods to the world.
Romco aims to increase metals recycling capacity to reduce the devastating environmental impact of primary production.
“We have an aluminium problem; Unsustainable production power consumption and carbon emissions are creating irreversible environmental consequences that affect everyone. They can’t be ignored, and we need to work collaboratively to address them.
For us at Romco, subscribing to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is an exciting step in that direction — joining others in the industry that are taking responsibility for making our world a cleaner, greener, more livable place,” said Raymond Onovwigun, Romco Group CEO.
The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit standards setting and certification organisation that aims to recognise and foster the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium.
