Samsung encourages South Africans to join its "Everyday Sustainability" campaign

Samsung envisions a society where technology coexists with humanity to protect the earth for future generations. As a result, Samsung is urging South African customers to join its "Everyday Sustainability" campaign by doing little acts for a better world in their everyday lives. However, Samsung has promoted sustainability with their latest Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, where the company incorporated additional pre-consumer recycled aluminium, glass and polymers. Adding to it, the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 also featured Armor aluminium frames promoting sustainability to the core.

Under the "Everyday Sustainability" campaign, Samsung encourages customers to make incremental but significant improvements in their daily lives to create a brighter future for everybody. Samsung understands that it can only reach its environmental objectives with people participating actively in the process. As a result, the firm is encouraging consumer engagement so that they may play an equal role in this critical journey towards a sustainable future. Samsung strives to produce inclusive and social innovations that enable everyone to work together to achieve a better world.

The South Korean multinational manufacturing conglomerate feels that Earth Day - the internationally acknowledged day celebrated in April each year - is an excellent opportunity for everyone to conserve the world and show their environmental support. This year, Samsung is expanding its ecological approach - its Planet-First concept - to achieve "Everyday Sustainability."

This environmental strategy is a comprehensive plan for Samsung to join global climate change initiatives. The present environmental difficulties and the impending Global Earth Day celebration have spurred Samsung to improve its governance even further and guarantee that 'sustainability' remains a crucial priority in all of its corporate activities. For these reasons, South African customers are encouraged to follow suit and join Samsung to create a more sustainable future.

To meet these lofty targets, Samsung is introducing four new methods for local customers to live more sustainably, concentrating on Recycled Materials, Eco-Packaging, Energy Efficiency, and Recycling or Upcycling. Samsung's brand product lifecycle journey focuses on the following as part of its environmental plan for 2023:

Samsung encourages South Africans to join its

  • Recycling, upcycling, and collection - this is where recyclables are sorted for recycling by material. Samsung can now produce a high-performance handset that fulfils the highest quality requirements while employing more recycled materials than any other Galaxy smartphone to date with its new Galaxy S23 Series. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series incorporates additional recyclable polymers and pre-consumer recycled aluminium and glass.
  • Renewable Energy & Chemical Management - this is an expansion of renewable energy included in the industrial process. On chemical management, Samsung is creating alternatives for chemical substances and working to reduce the harmful effects of hazardous compounds that may penetrate its goods, as well as chemicals utilised in the front lines of production, on the health of consumers and staff.
  • Distribution now incorporates Eco-Packaging and Logistical Optimisation - this process entails continuously using environmentally friendly materials in packaging. To lessen the environmental effect of its product packaging, Samsung is replacing plastic and vinyl with paper and recyclable materials. In addition, Samsung is lowering the bulk and weight of packaging to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the transit and shipping process.
  • Product Usage Energy Efficiency, Durability, and Repair & Reuse - Samsung is lowering indirect GHG emissions via high-energy goods and increasing product performance. Samsung's dedication to sustainability was recently highlighted as it was awarded two 2023 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Sustainability in the global aluminium industry

In particular, Samsung's "Everyday Sustainability" concept focuses on developing sustainable goods for local customers and how they might be developed to assist the environment. Social justice and Samsung's brand activities are purposefully focused on innovation and sustainability, with no concessions. Samsung believes that it is everyone's job to care for the environment to make our world a lovely place to live, which is why the firm is encouraging all South African customers to do their bit and Re-Imagine A Better world together!
