SMM alumina price sustains its growth trajectory, arriving at RMB5659/t; A00 aluminium ingot price falls by 0.23% W-o-W

On Wednesday, November 20, the average alumina spot price in China has ascended by RMB 13 per tonne to settle at RMB 5,659 per tonne. The alumina price has continued its growth trajectory since September. The prices of Lianyungang and Bayuquan have surged by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 6,050 per tonne.

On the same day, the prices in Henan and Shanxi have grown by RMB 15 per tonne to settle at RMB 5,665 per tonne and RMB 5,715 per tonne. In provinces like Shandong, Guizhou and Guangxi, the alumina prices have moved up by RMB 10 per tonne to dock at RMB 5,635 per tonne and RMB 5,610 per tonne (Guizhou and Guangxi).

The Australian alumina FOB price has gained US$25 per tonne, settling at US$785 per tonne. On the same day, the prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) heightened by RMB 300 per tonne to arrive at RMB 27,800 per tonne and RMB 28,800 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot

On the same day, the A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 270 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,790 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 60 to RMB 100 per tonne. The average prices are expected to stand between RMB 20,770 per tonne and RMB 20,810 per tonne. W-o-W, the price has shown a fall of RMB 50 per tonne or 0.23 per cent from RMB 20,840 per tonne, as recorded on November 13.

The prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou have grown by RMB 260 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,800 per tonne. In Foshan, the price hiked by RMB 250 per tonne, settling at RMB 20,680 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have expanded by RMB 240 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,730 per tonne and RMB 20,740 per tonne. On the same day the prices in Tianjin and Linyi have grown by RMB 220 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,790 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy prices

As per the SMM data, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has expanded by RMB 300 per tonne to peg at RMB 21,250 per tonne with the average prices ranging between RMB 21,100 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne. For aluminium alloys (ADC12), the price has increased by RMB 100 to settle at RMB 20,900 per tonne, with the average prices expected to range between RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne. On the same day, for (A380) the price witnessed the same growth of RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 21,900 per tonne, with the average prices orbiting between RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,000 per tonne.
