Superior Aluminum Alloys launches deox aluminium rod/wire to be used in steel mills

Superior Aluminum Alloys, LLC, a secondary aluminium producer, announced the successful launch of its newest product offering, deox rod/wire on August 12. Deox is a dual acid formulation which can remove corrosion from aluminium and stainless steel surfaces. Deox rod/wire product is used by steel mills to remove oxygen from liquid steel during the steelmaking process.

"We are excited to announce the further diversification of our product offering to include deox rod/wire," said Denny Luma, President of Superior Aluminum Alloys.

"Our deox rod/wire product has been successfully tested and approved for production at several steel mills. We are looking forward to expanding this business."

Superior Aluminum Alloys, LLC is a leading secondary-aluminium producer located in New Haven, Indiana. Owned by parent company OmniSource, they started operating in 1997 as an outlet for scrap aluminium collected through its operations. Superior Aluminum Alloys melts aluminium scrap to produce certified aluminium alloys in the form of ingots, sows, deox cones, deox bar, deox rod/wire and molten metal.  The company also offers molten secondary metal.  Currently, Superior Aluminum Alloys operates as an independent subsidiary.
