Headquartered in Japan, Technics has announced two new versions of noise-cancelling wireless earbuds (EAH-AZ80 and EAHAZ60M2), which feature new 10mm free-edge aluminium diaphragms designed to provide less distortion and a smoother sound. In addition to improved sound quality and battery life, the earbuds are the first wireless earbuds to increase Bluetooth Multipoint from two to three simultaneous connections.
{alcircleadd}This would enable the earphones to remain linked to two cell phones and a laptop, or a laptop, a phone, and a television, without having to detach and reconnect when switching devices. Both versions incorporate wireless charging, first seen on Technics wireless earbuds this year. They have an IPX4 classification and are protected from SOME water immersion.
"This new generation has enhanced smart features including advanced JustMyVoice technology for clear calls, industry-leading noise cancellation, Bluetooth multipoint connection for up to three devices and long battery life up to 25 hours. The earbuds are enclosed in a stylish and ergonomic design, with a housing that makes them stable and extremely comfortable for extended wear, and seven earpiece sizes ensure the perfect fit," quoted Technics Product Marketing Manager Aaron Waters.
They also include wear sensors that enable auto-pause and playback of music when inserted or withdrawn. Both devices feature the LDAC Bluetooth codec for high-resolution playback at up to 24-bit/96kHz.
