Torrié, a Portuguese coffee brand owned by the José Maria Vieira company (JMV), has recently introduced 100 per cent aluminium coffee capsules. According to the producer, using aluminium in the capsules allows for better sealing power, assuring coffee protection against oxidation and heat resistance, which are important aspects in retaining the freshness of the smells.
{alcircleadd}The new capsule collection includes ten ideas and is compatible with all Nespresso home equipment. Torrié Expresso comes in three varieties: smooth, classic, and strong. Torrié's new aluminium capsules are available at JMV's online shop and will be accessible in Portuguese and worldwide retail markets shortly.
This is not the first time that companies have shifted towards aluminium coffee capsules to support sustainability and reduce the carbon footprint of the environment. Companies like Continente, Coffeeza, Lavazza, and many more have chosen aluminium because of its sustainable and unique attributes. The aluminium industry is making constant advancements in promoting the environmental efficiency of its production.
The use of aluminium is highly encouraged for multiple end-use industries. Sustainable and environmentally conscious packaging solutions drive the demand for recycled aluminium in the packaging sector.
