The aluminium scrap import market of Turkey remains dynamic as the nation has imported 272,663 tonnes of scrap during 2017-19 and paid foreign revenue of $422.86 million.
The projected aluminium scrap import for 2020 has been analysed at 100,672 tonnes and the amount to be paid has been extended to $159.21 million. When the import volume and the amount added with the last three years it consecutively reflects 373,335 tonnes and $582.07 million.
The aluminium scrap import of Turkey has been facilitated by multiple countries like USA, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, etc.
Turkey’s aluminium scrap import in 2017 stood at 80,846 tonnes, while the foreign income paid was recorded $123.81 million.
In 2018 the aluminium scrap import showed an inclination by 14.92%, as the total import reflected at 92.913 tonnes, Y-o-Y excess remained at 12,067 tonnes. The amount paid for 2018 was $146.23 million.
Turkey’s scrap import in 2019 reflected positive as the import volume recorded was 98,904 tonnes, growth by 6.44% and Y-o-Y rise of 5,991 tonnes. The foreign revenue paid rose to $152.82 million.
The 2020 projection has shown an upward movement by 1.78%, as the import volume might rise to 6 digits, as analysed of 100,672 tonnes and the revenue to be paid might remain at $159.21 million.
