Turkey’s bauxite importation market remained with advantage during 2017-19 as it recorded a moderate volume of import at 117,168 tonnes and the revenue expended remained at $46.32 million. The estimated importation for 2020 though has been analysed to 25,862 tonnes only and the expenditure might reach to $11.60 million. When the current years analysed import volume and expenditure is added up with the preceding three years it stands at 143,030 tonnes and $57.92 million.
The country’s bauxite import in 2017 was recorded at 38,930 tonnes and the foreign revenue expended stood to $13.16 million, whereas in 2018 the import volume went up to 40,280 tonnes and the expenditure also rose to $17.72 million.
In 2019 the bauxite import of Turkey saw a fall as the import remained at 37,958 tonnes and the expenditure also came down to $15.44, while in 2020 the projected analysis reflected a dip by 31.86% Y-o-Y basis, as the import might only land to 25,862, which is the lowest across four years phase and the expenditure also pulled down to $11.60 million.
The major bauxite export trade countries for Turkey import are China, India Netherlands, etc.
