The Twelfth International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar is again rescheduled to May 3-5, 2022, as declared by the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) and the ET Foundation this week. The event was previously postponed to May 11-13, 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The venue for the event, which is named ET 2022, has remained unchanged at Hilton Orlando, in Orlando, Florida.
AEC President Jeff Henderson said, “The ET Seminar Committee and the AEC Board of Directors decided to postpone our most important aluminium extrusion industry event until we can ensure that everyone felt comfortable travelling and attending the ET Seminar."
He added, "ET is an essential event for the industry, and circumstances with the limited availability of a vaccine are just too uncertain at this time to take a chance with this, our most important and respected aluminium extrusion technology conference."
Henderson also explained that the event would remain essentially intact, except for a few minor changes based on the availability of speakers. The ET Seminar Committee and ET staff are already in the process of communicating with authors and presenters to assess the status of the technical program.
Registrants and exhibitors who previously paid to attend the ET will automatically be registered for ET 2022.
"ET is the industry conference that everyone in the worldwide aluminium extrusion industry should attend. The ET Seminar Committee felt that the event would be severely diminished if we didn't meet in person" said ET Seminar Committee Chairman Craig Werner, Principal at Werner Extrusion Solutions. "We are looking forward to resuming our planning for ET 2022 in Orlando."
Add-on workshops will take place before or after ET on Monday, May 2, or Friday, May 6, 2022. . Those who previously registered and paid for a workshop will also be automatically registered for the same in 2022.
