The Twelfth International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar has been rescheduled on May 11 – 13, 2021, as announced by the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) and the ET Foundation. The seminar, now named ET 2021, will be conducted at the Hilton Orlando on Destination Parkway, minutes from I-Drive in the heart of Orlando’s dining and entertainment district. Previously, this seminar was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
{alcircleadd}A new and updated website www.ET-21.org will be the source of new information as it becomes available.
AEC President Jeff Henderson said, “We are fortunate to have found dates and a location that meets our specific needs. It took some time since so many organizations had to reschedule events simultaneously due to the unusual circumstances surrounding the novel coronavirus pandemic,”
The ET Seminar Committee and ET staff are in the process of communicating the updated programme to the registered authors and presenters.
Henderson explained, “The program remains essentially intact with only minor changes to date based on speaker availability and we hope to make as few changes to the original ET ’20 program as necessary.”
According to the report, registrants who previously paid to attend ET ’20 will be automatically transferred to the new registration system. They will receive a new registration confirmation for ET 2021 via email in the coming weeks. Exhibitors will also be reconfirmed and transferred to the updated floor plan for the ET Expo, which will be held in the Orlando Ballroom at the Hilton Orlando.
Workshops will be held either before or after ET on Monday, May 10, or Friday, May 14, 2021. The current registrants for the workshop will also be transferred and confirmed in the new registration system.
Special ET50th Anniversary events, however, are not expected to change. It is likely to be held after the lift of the movement restrictions and once the businesses open.
