According to the USGS, a total of 107,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars was imported to the United States in February 2022. On a month-on-month forefront, a plunge of 5,000 tonnes or 4.46 percent was witnessed.
In January 2022 the amount settled at 112,000 tonnes, following m-o-m surge of 3,000 tonnes or 2.75 percent from 109,000 tonnes in December 2021. On m-o-m calculation a slump of 10,000 tonnes or 8.40 percent was recorded from 119,000 tonnes in November 2021.
In February 2022 a total of 107,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars was imported to the United States, which on a year-on-year calculation augmented by 26,300 tonnes or 32.58 percent from 80,700 tonnes in February 2021.
For the entire year of 2021 a total of 1,290,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars was shipped to the United States.
The highest amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported by the United States in February 2022 was from China. The amount scored at 16,400 tonnes, which on m-o-m scale had declined by 1,200 tonnes or 6.81 percent from 17,600 tonnes in January 2022.
In February 2022, China shipped a total of 16,400 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to the United States, which on a y-o-y forefront had soared up by 6,400 tonnes or 64 percent from 10,000 tonnes in February 2021.
