Biodiesel, often hailed as a 'green' elixir, is a renewable substitute for petroleum-derived diesel. Derived from biomass, it stands as a beacon of sustainable energy. When burned, biodiesel contributes significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional fuels, aligning seamlessly with Vedanta's vision of a sustainable future. Electric dreams: Forklifts and foundries 

Adding a futuristic touch to their operations, Vedanta Lanjigarh has embraced electric forklifts, a tangible manifestation of their commitment to sustainable practices. In Lanjigarh, Odisha, the company has introduced 3-tonne and 5-tonne electric forklifts, joining a fleet of 44 electric lithium-ion forklifts across its operations in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. This move is not merely an operational shift but a pledge to decarbonise 100% of their Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) fleet by 2030 and 75% of their mining fleet by 2035.
