Vinca, a UK-based producer of canned wines, has introduced a new line of organic Italian wines in 187ml aluminium cans made by Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP). The wine is made from organic grapes farmed on Sicily's west coast. Vinca's wines have won several honours in the UK, have been listed on British Airways and Planet Organic, and are currently exported to over ten countries worldwide.
{alcircleadd}AMP's wine Can line is an eco-friendly, cutting-edge solution for the single-serve wine industry. Aluminium beverage cans are great for many reasons, including portability, safety, and the fact that they can be recycled indefinitely. From production to final consumption, the wine in AMP's airtight wine cans maintains its quality. The airline and hotel industries are also seeing a rise in the use of wine in cans.
Canning specialists Los Bucaneros, who run mobile and stationary canning facilities in France and Iberia, fill Vinca's 187 ml single-serve cans. Los Bucaneros' creator, Henry Blackmann, and his team of dedicated beverage professionals oversee the whole canning process, from assisting clients with product analysis to optimising quality before and after packing.
The exquisite Vinca wine can designs were created with Vinca's designers and AMP's graphics team. All manufacturing procedures were handled flawlessly for a spectacular visual outcome, from colour selection (including solid colours, half-tones, transitions, and text readability) to proof cans and final high-speed production.
The market for wine in cans has been expanding at a CAGR* (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 10% throughout the last five years. The importance of beverage cans in wine packaging has recently come to light. The graphics team at AMP, located in La Ciotat, France, worked quickly to revise the Vinca designs so that the product could be released to the public at the exact right moment.
