Ball Corporation has announced a valuable collaboration with O'cean Energy Drink allocating the face of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli as the ambassador. The alliance has successfully launched O'cean beverages in sustainable aluminium cans.
{alcircleadd}It was declared via one of the social media platforms that Ball would recycle one used aluminium can for each O'cean energy drink can sold.
Aluminium is an infinitely recyclable element that can hold onto its original properties even after the process is completed. This makes the non-ferrous material a fantastic choice for a circular economy, ultimately reducing the carbon footprint of an individual product and making it more environment-friendly.
Moreover, beverage cans usually comprise the purest range of aluminium, which qualifies it as an easily recyclable product variation. The collection of aluminium cans is also more straightforward than the collection of glass beverage bottles. And in the case of plastic, most of the time, recycling plastic releases so much toxic waste that big brands tend to avoid that particular packaging option.
Ball posted on social media: "We love when a true giant in sports embraces sustainability, Virat Kohli, international Indian cricketer & one of the greatest batsmen of all time, spotlights O'cean Beverages energy drink. For every can you buy, we will collect one to recycle. "
This post by Ball Corporation was just after Virat Kohli posted about the launch on his social media profile. He was seen in a video saying: "Introducing the O'cean Energy Drink Sustainable Edition in partnership with Ball Corp."
This is quite an impressive move by the American packaging giant, which immortalises its future endeavours in the Indian sub-continent.
"The cans are made from at least 70% aluminium and can be recycled forever. So for every can you drink of this sustainable edition, Ball Beverage collects & recycles one O'cean beverage can," Kohli's post was extremely vivid, explaining Ball's elaborate can collection and recycling scheme.
