On Tuesday, April 26, the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that it successfully certified Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. against the Chain of Custody Standard Certification for aluminium re-melting, refining, and semi-fabrication activities for the production of aluminium foil.
Not even a year has passed Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil plant has bagged another ASI certification, following the Performance Standard Certification in August 2021.
The facility has an annual capacity of producing more than 200,000 tonnes of aluminium sheet and foil in various gauges, destined for several downstream applications in the electronics, packaging, pharmaceuticals, HVAC, and other sectors.
The ASI CoC certification determines requirements for the creation of a Chain of Custody for material produced and processed through the value chain into diverse downstream sectors. The certification verifies practices at successive steps of the supply chain, while ensuring appropriate policies and due diligence processes are being followed.
On receiving the CoC Certification, Chen Debin, Executive Director of Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd., said: “We are delighted to have successfully passed the ASI Chain of Custody Standard certification, which is an important achievement in our sustainable development plan. The independent, third-party audit of Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. was carried out by TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH.
