Leading German car parts manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen AG will be participating at the Symposium of International Automotive Technology (SIAT) 2017, to be held at Pune's ARAI Campus next month, announced the company's Indian business unit last week. The company apart from showcasing its product portfolio will highlight its growth till now and the commitment it has made to the Indian market, at the event.
ZF will display its state-of-the-art technology solutions such as MStars-Semi-Trailing Arm Rear Suspension, Ecotronic Commercial Vehicle Automatic Manual Transmission and aluminium control arms at Booth No. 124. Other offerings of the global engineering solution supplier include products for driveline, chassis, steering, braking and also electronics and occupant safety systems.
Commenting on its commitment towards the Indian aluminium sector, Dr Eckart von Westerholt, vice-president (R&D) at ZF, said: “ZF views India as an extremely important market and is dedicated to strengthening its research and development in the region. With the expansion of our operations in India, we are well prepared to meet local for global and local for local market requirements and provide our customers with the most innovative and high quality products, solutions and services.”
“We have also recently announced plans to open a Technology Center in Hyderabad for software and mechanical engineering requirements. This new technology centre will help advance ZF’s ongoing efforts to accelerate local product development while also extending support to the global development teams,” he added.

The 15th edition of SIAT 2017 will be held from January 18-21. It is organized by RAI in association with SAEINDIA, NATRiP and SAE International. Leading R&D professionals and senior operations executives from the automotive industry as well as aluminium car parts manufacturing sector are expected to attend the event in Pune, making it an ideal platform for brainstorming and business networking.
